Williams, president of Moab King, reports that the company is conducting extensive exploratory operations in Utah and Wyoming for uranium ore. The company has acquired sev Advance Program eral new claims and has entered a joint development agreement with Uranium Corporation of America to develop properties southeast of Lander, Wyo., he said. New properties include two virgin territory mines in American Fork Canyon. Formerly a ore proprofitable duction area, the American Fork property has been under joint operation between Willard Cleghorn and Moab King. Operations are at a standstill temporarily due to Mr. Cleghoms death. The company is now doing drilling work on newly acquired properties in the Wind River area in Wyoming. Moab King owns 300 claims and has a quarter of one per cent royalty over-rid- e on 5,000 claims held by UCOA. Moab King engineers are planning development of gas and oil claims known as the Outlaw Mesa group in western Colorado, Williams stated. lead-zlnc-silv- Told By Zinc Meet Officials Technical and operating men of the sheet and galvanizing divisions of the steel industry, will attend the thirty-fourt- h meeting of schedCommittee The Galvanizers er 1956 at the uled for April Hotel Statler, St. Louis, Mo. New Schedule Does Not Effect Roscoelite, Carnotite Ores : i Advances in uranium ore processing technology this week cleared the way for the Atomic Energy Commission to cut penalties for ore with high lime content at the Monticello and Moab, Utah buying stations and mills. The Grand Junction Operations Office of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission has announced that effective April 1, 1956, the following ore buying schedule for uraniu mores containing more than 6 percent lime (CaC03) will be in effect at the two Utah ore buying stations.
