White, Jr, President of UCOA. White conferred in Denver, Colorado, with management of big mining groups relative to the cost and other mechanical details connected with an input mill to take care of a daily production volume of 1000 tons. Optimistic as to the futureof the program, White as he departed from Salt Lake for Denver told a Survey reporter, I have Just conferred with a representative of a company who has 6,0(10,000 tons of .09 per cent ore to be upgraded. Tests at our pilot plant indicate it will be upgrading .36 percent. We have perfected our upgrading process and our pilot mill has conducted tests of various kinds of ore for literally hundreds of uranium companies that are in trouble. We are swamped with requests from all over the nation. On strip mining and cheap mining we are able to handle it. UCOAs treasury is in excellent condition. It will take four to six months to construct the type of upgrading mill we desire. The Denver conference was requested by owners of large amounts of low grade ore interested in what plan UCOA can offer them. New Bleak Uran. During the past two weeks, he continued, the camp has been set up and readied for operations. We have installed new blowing equipment in our Lucky Boy Boy Channel, which is at present in ore. It is about 250 feet from the face, Herrick said. Our first concern is efficiency of the operations; we want to remove the most ore possible for the smallest cost possible. This is my objective as manager. Herrick also stated that the company will probably locate offices .in Green River, Utah.
