The ceremony was performed at the gait Lake temple. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Harris, parents of the bride, entertained Friday evening in the first ward recreational hall at a reception and wedding dance, in honor of 260 guests the young couple. were present to enjoy the occasion and wish the young couple a happy voyage on the iea of matrimony. Mrs. Beth Gillman West, has received word that her husoand Elroy West is on his way home. The daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their meeting Thursday at the home of Mrs. Mary Jorman. The lesson was given by Jane Elsmore and election of officers took place un Capt. Sarah M. Marriott! presided and an interesting pioneer and lesson was enjoyed Mrs. Sarah Hurst Jones and history the large group present. Reby Mr. and Mrs. Archie Jones of freshments were served. George Pratt received his discharge from the U. S, army and Wm Pratt is enjoying a furlough from an army camp in California. Mrs. Blanche Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Humphrey enjoyed a trip to Ogden, Evanston, Wyo. and Salt Lake, the past 2 weeks. They returned home Wed. Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Larsen of Salt Lake were the dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. J-Johnson, Sunday. Ross A. Lee of San Diego, California, is visiting here with his son, William B. Lee and family. Arnold Ivers of Los Angeles, Calif., who was recently released from Navy service is visiting this week with his mother, Mrs. Maud Ivers. He was accompanied by a friend, Darrell Johnson, also released front the navy. Both young men have siient a great deal of time at the Marshall Islands. All Sunday school and Primary officers and teachers are invited to the monthly planning meeting and social to be held Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Relief society rooms. Mrs. Lois Johnson will give the lesson and Mrs. Clarence Schuman and Mr- - and Mrs. Arlo M. Anderson will be hosts for the affair. Last Sunday Miss Genld Perry sang a solo, accompanied by Miss Nadine Mitchell and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Jones sang a duet, at sacrament meeting. The speakers were Wilford S. Gillis-pi- e and Stanley P. Stubbs, of the ward bishopric and ward clerk. A plan for the completion of the renovation program of the ward was presented by Bishop J. Golden Taylor. The following new teachers were sustained for the Primary association at sacrament meeting Sunday evening: Ida Stubbs as chorister, Alice Conrad, Mildred Hunter, Rhea Sundqulst, Betty Cloward, Joanna Boyce and Emily Stoker. Mrs. Racheal Davis is president of the Prl-mawith Blanch Woodard and Inez Messick as counselors, Helen Meldrum as secretary, with Susanna Meldrum, Florence Unthank, Donna Van Wagenen and Mrs. Phillips as teachers. Fred Ferguson, Sr. has been confined at Utah Valley hospital with a serious arm infection.
