The original information regarding the proposed projects comes from Secretary Harold L. Ickas in writing to Carl Hayden, U.8. senator from Arisona, In which is outlined tentatively the various projects Included in the appropriation and the type of work to be constructed. It is from this correspondence that Mr. Humpherys obtained his information through Mr. Hagie. Any project constructed must be investigated by the UA Bureau of Keclamktlon and approved by the secretary of the interior. However, the correspondence projects which appear to be feasible wlU be continued in the state by the reclamation bureau, since flit, 000 of the fl, 100, 000 was provided for investigation work. Speedy action in securing CCG camps for the work Is necessary, and the bureau should bo urged to speed up its investigation with as little red tape" as possible In order to get the projects under way, the letter stated. "By all means they should be urged to expedite this program so the full appropriation will be spent during the fiscal year. Mr. Hagles letter stated. "If it U not, securing of subsequent appropriations will be difficult.
