I with the 180 -- HP Strato-Sti'ea- k JOINT RESOLUTION PROPOSING 10 AMEND SECTIONS 2, 3 AND 4 OF ARTICLE IX OF THE CONSTITUTION OF UTAH BY CHANGING THE CONSTITUTION OF THE LEGISLATURE MAKING EACH COUNTY OF THE STATE A SENATORIAL DISTRICT. BY REAPPORTIONING REPRESENTATIVES AMONG THE SEVERAL COUNTIES OF THE STATE ACCORDING TO THE 1950 CENSUS, AND UY AUTHORIZING THE LEGISLATURE TO DECREASE AS WELL AS INCREASE THE NUMBER OF REPRESENTATIVES. Re It resolved by the legislature of the State of Utah, of all members elerted to 'each house concurring therein: Section 1. It is proposed to amend Secs. 2. 3 and 4 of Article IX of the Constitution of Utah to A V--8 two-thir- ! read: Section 2. The legislature shall provide by law fur an enumeration of the inhabitants of the State, A. D. 1905, and every tenth year thereafter, and at the session next following such enumeration, and also at the session next following an enumeration made by the authority of the United States, shall revise and adjust the spportinn-nien- t for representatives on the basis of siii-enumeration to ratios to be fi i by law. Section 3. The Senate shall consist of one member from earh countv of the State, nq,d the House of of seventy-fiv- e Representatives members. The Legislature may increase or decrease the number of representatives, but the number of representatives shall never be less than twice nor greater than three times the number of senators.
