PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election will be held in Granite School District, Salt Lake County, State of Utah, on the 1st day of February. 1954, at which election there shall be submitted to the registered voters who have paid a property tax within said district, during the year next proceeding such election, the following question, to-w- it: Shall the Board of Education of Granite School District, Salt Lake County, State of Utah, be authorized to issue and sell bonds of the district in the amount of Three Million Dollars ($3,000,000) in denominations of OneThousand Dollars ($1,000.00) each, numbered one (1) to tltree thousand (3.000), both inclusive, the bonds to bear interest at a rate of not to exceed 2,, per annum and to mature in numerical order One Hundred Sixty Five Thousand Dollars ($165,000.00) two years from the date of the bonds. Two Hundred Seventy Five Thousand Dollars ($275,000 00) three years from the date of bonds, Two Hundred Seventy Five Thousand Dollars ($275,000.00) four years from the date of bonds, Four HunDollars, dred Fifty Thousand ($450,000.00) five years from the date of the bonds. Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($550,000) six years from the date of the bonds. Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650,000.00) seven years from the date of the bonds, Five end Six Hundred Thirty ($635,000.00) Thousand Dollars eight years from the date of the bonds, for the purpose of raising sitmoney for purchasing school es, for building or purchase, one or more school houses and supplying the same with furniture and necessary apparatus, and for improving the grounds? The voting at such election shall be by ballot, which ballots will be furnished by the Clerk of the board of Education of Granite School District to the judges of election, to be by them furnished to the qualified voters. The polls at each polling place shall be opened at the hour of 7:00 o'clock a.m. and will be kept open until and will close at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. No person shall be permitted to vote at said eection unless he shall be a registered voter residing in the School Representative Precinct in which he offers to vote and shall have paid a property tax in said school district during the year next proceeding such election. Date of last publication, Janu29, 1954. ary Former Magna Lady Diet At Age of 90 Eliza Jane Garrick Reid, 90, of 416 7th East, Salt Lake City, form- er pioneer resident of this vicinity, died Wednesday at her home of causes incident to age. She was born September 28, 1863 in Greenwich, Scotland, a daughter of Alexander and Jane Riley Garrick. She was married to George A. Reid on April 22, 1885, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died in 1947. The Reid family lived in Magna area, where they were prominent in civic and LDS church work. She was the mother of 12 sons and daughters, seven of whom survive: Mrs. Jennie Bowen, of Bountiful; Mrs. Ruby Barlow and Sidney G. Reid, Attorney of Salt Lake City; A. Garrick Reid, Wash-BeacCal.; J. Allison Reid, Washington. D. C.; Milton B. Reid, Monterey Park, CaL; Mrs. Grace Wallace. Logan; a sister, Mrs. Effie G.
