The Volunteers for Community begins at sunrise. The bag limit is six daily or in possession, including no more than, one Ross's goose nor more than two birds of the dark species. Hunters should refer to their proclamations for special goose regulations and the shooting timetable. REDHEAD AND IDENTIFICATION K Waterfowl hunters this year are bound to come up with a problem in identifying certain birds in flight or in the hand. This is especially true of those who are trying to identify canvasbacks and redheads. The similarity of the two species has, in the past, resulted in hunters leaving birds to waste on the marsh, rather than take a chance of leaving the area with die wrong species. Since only one canvasback can be taken in possession, it is important the bird be tivity. The Sale will be on Sunday face with a whitish ring bordering the blade tip. The body is more rounded than that of the canvasback and it is smaller. The bird is darker than the canvasbacks, and the top of the back on males is gray. than puddle ducks; hind toes with lobes; and pattering along the surface of the water for some distance before becoming airborne. Both ducks fly in irregular patterns, with a rapid, noisy wing beat. The most noticeable difference between the birds is the shape of the head. Canvasbacks have a long sloping forehead with a completely black bill of the same length as the birds head. The long head gives the bird a front-heav- y look, especially since the head is carried in a downward curved posture. It is a longer, more slender bird than the redhead, and is somewhat. larger. The top of the back is almost totally white on males. The Mini Miners took advantage of an errant Wildkitten toss and drove to the South Summit one. Henrion then dove over for the six points. Threat The only other scoring threat of the game, which was played at City Park, came at the end of the second quarter. A thirty yard pass from Henrion and an excellent catch by end Chuck Berriochoa combined to give Park City the ball on South Summit's Turnovers This scoring threat was followed by a rash of turnovers. On South Summit's first play from the five, Henrion intercepted a pass at the 18. On the next play. Park City fumbled and South Summit recovered. The Mini Miners held only to fumble and lose the subsequent punt at their own 47. Henrion again intercepted, this time at the Miner 20. Again, Park City fumbled and the little Wildcats recovered. The Park City defense held, however, and South Summit was unable to reach paydirt before the game ended. vice Any high school age student is welcome to join this group.
