Maxine Romero Tafoya, 23, began her federal career at Tooele Army Depot as a GS-- 2 in Octoler 1969, and later worked at DTC and DPC in the Plans and Studies Directorate, die Logistics Directorate, the Test Operations Directorate and the Security Office, graduating to the GS-- 5 level. IN DECEMBER 1973 she was accepted by the Federal Aviation Agency into the 150 Program.
