Show Three Golf T ourneys Scheduled For August Hie DESERET SAMPLER, Fri., July 31, 1970 Dugway golfers will have plenty of opportunity to participate in tournament play within the next two weeks as three are scheduled between August 1 and August 15. The opening tournament will be held tomorrow as the Officers Wives Club is sponsoring a y tourney with the men playing 18 holes and ladies competing in a nine hole event. The tournament will be followed by a free barbecue with refreshments for all participants. Entry fee for the tournaments is $2.50 per person and fifty cents for those planning cm attending only the barbecue. THE ANNUAL Post Championship tournament will be held starting Thursday, August 6, and running through Sunday, August 9. It will be a 72 hole tourney with 18 holes being played each day. The ladies championship will be held in conjunction with it with the ladies playing nine holes Saturday and Sunday. Major James Ault, president of the Dugway golf council stated that the Post Championship will be played on a full handicap basis divided into flights, and that entrants may tee off starting at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday afternoon. The championship tournament which is open to all military and civilian residents or employees of Dugway has an entry fee of three dollars for men and $1.50 for women entrants. THE TOURNAMENT will also determine the team to represent DTC in the Sixth Army tournament as the four low scoring military golfers will make the trip to Fort one-da- lley Yulaclii, Meet Mr. lSouton!
