Pag MM bam law mm As the days get cooler and the leaves start turning shades of yellow and red, most of us start thinking about the approaching hunting season. Not only should we think about hunting, we should start now to prepare ourselves and ourequipinent. Every year many hunters die of heart attacks and over exertion, and many more are killed or injured by faulty equipment. We should start now preparing ourselves physically liy getting out and hiking or jogging to get in shape. We should check out our rjfles to assure that they are clean and in good working condition. We should take them out and fire them to assure that they are sighted in properly. Those with trail bikes should make sure that they are in good mechanical condition. Our camping equipment must also be checked to assure that it is in good condition. Our camp stoves and lanterns should he checked to see that they work properly. We should make a list of what we will need, being sure to have the necessary equipment for liad weather. A set of tire chains and tow chains may come in handy. Warm clothing and hoots could also make the difference in a good or bad hunt. A trip to the area we intend to hunt, to familiarize ourselves with the area for the hunting season so that we will be ready for a safer, more enjoyable hunt. (Richard M. If you have the slightest doubt about the intricate terminology, of the contract, which is one of the reasons for "misinterpretations" of the agreement you may sign, see your legal assistance officer. His knowledge of law and his assistance may save you hundreds of dollars. Don't be "taken in" by buying or borrowing in haste. Legal Assistance Offices' files are jammed with "I thought it meant. . ." One such case involves a Serviceman who borrowed $1,000 on a long term contract. The company required that he take out an insurance policy with an affiliated company on himself and his wife. After the company put the squeeze on him for payment it was discovered the cost of the loan, interest charge, carrying charge and or insurance of the original loan was 700 per cent $7,000. He had signed the contract. The man had to pay. Don't rush into signing a contract. Read it carefully. If it is too complicated, let your legal assistance officer see it.
