The first activity for East-woo- d ' Elementary School PTA is the annual Room- Mothers Tea to be held Wednesday, Sept. 25 at the school. The purpose of the tea is to give room mothers and teachers an opportunity to become acquainted. The guests were welcomed by Mr D. E. Lambert, the principal, and the PTA officers- - Mrs Ray Taylor, Mrs O. L. Lamb, Mrs H. D. Taylor, Mrs J. R. Gemmill, Mrs Grant Pendelton, and Mrs Delbert Williams in the receiving line. The committee chairmen of the executive board escorted the guests to their seats. The theme of the tea was turning leaves, symbolising the leaves of the fall season as well as the leaves of the children's books of learning. The tea table and tea carts were decorated with brightly colored fall leaves and cones. The social chairmen, Mrs J. F. Ramey and Mrs Paul Drou-- I bay were in charge of the tea.
