The parade will form at the South entrance to the Mall at 6:15 p.m., will proceed north thru the enclosed Mall to the upper end where they will be entertained by a local dance group and a television personality. They will then parade down the Mall to receive a free Halloween treat ,' for everyone in costume. The judges will then select the win- ners in two age brackets, 4 to 8 and 8 to 12, for the funniest spookiest and most original costumes. Valuable prizes will be awarded, not only to the children in the costume, but to their parents as well. A grand prize winner will be selected by the audience from the group winners. Adding color to the festivities will be a pumpkin carving for the whole family. Prizes will be awarded here for the funniest, the spookiest and the most original pumpkin laces. Pumpkins are to be carved at home by the whole family, then brought to the Cottonwood Mall prior to Saturday evening. They will be judged over the week end and the winners awarded their prizes Monday night as part of the parade activities. Those participating are cautioned to make sure that their names are cither carved in the pumpkin or inscribed with nail polish to be sure the pumpkin can be identified. Thru the cooperation of Dcl-brSmcdlcy, Granite School District Art Supervisor, all schools in the Granite District will display typical fall art in their first art exhibit in the Cottonwood Mall. The art will be displayed in the enclosed mall for a period of one week beginning Monday, Oct. 29th. Great variety is promised with examples of talent from all age brackets. A current exhibit from the Granite School District is currently being shown in Hawaii, according to Mr Smedlcy.
