County Agent Advises On Stored Food What is more distracting to a housewife than to find her flour or other stored food hill of worms. Actually, weevil, flour beetles, larder beetles, several kinds of moths and other insects dont get into food products to harass the housewife; they are only trying to survive themselves. Nevertheless, most people are quite selfish about sharing their food with little worms. ..Complete suggestions on pro tecting stored food from insects are contained in a free booklet called, Food Storage In The Home. For example the booklet states that infested package foods such as beans, cereals, whole grain, etc. may be heated in the oven at a temperature of 150 degrees F. for 20 minutes. This treatment will kill all stages of insect pests. For further information ask your county agent for your free copy of, Food Storage In The Home" by calling HU Ext. 215. have been negligent in teaching our children the meaning of America, in teaching them about the facts about the personal enterprise system that has made possible our kind of America.
