WJ A Good Site in Sight Editorial . . . The propaganda mill has started beating the drums in earnest for a civic auditorium. County residents shpuld note that all the talk is about community life anti a facility for all the people. Sounds wonderful. Right now, the matter of site is being though the implication is that only a downtown" site should he considered. County residents should realize, fully, that an auditorium will not be built unless it is financed by a tax. It becomes obvious that an. auditorium county-wid- e on a downtown site would lie a city auditorium financed by the county. The Kearns town council has already voted no to such a proposition, and will like' lie followed by other community councils and the official councils of incorporated areas. The people should know, too, that the actual site under consideration is on the salt flats northwest of Salt Lake City. An auditorium in such a location; would, be all but inaccessible to the people who will be paying for it. Tlie county people have not been asleep, however. Several sites south of Salt Inke City are being investigated with a view toward selecting a site with adequate parking. and wilh easy access from the freeway and the belt route. Price of the site will also be. a prime consideration. When a reasonable site is selected, it should hare the support of all the people of the comity. j soft-pedale- one-sid- ed BLOUSES One group Values to S9.9I $3 SLACKS Values to $17.98 $5 post office at Midvale, Utah.
