By Wayne Rose, County Agent Do you store the kind of food that your family will normally eat? Too many people are storing foods they may never use. Many folks in Utah like to plan a years food supply. This is good management IF care is taken to avoid waste and spoilage. Remember, stored food will not keep forever. Canned foods begin to lose their quality and flavor after the first year. Keep a rotation system with your stored food. Date jars, cans and packages as you put them into storage. Use foods from stored supplies as needed each day and replace these foods on your next market day. Plan to use your stored foods before they are one year old. Three foods which may be kept more than a year under the right conditions are wheat, white sugar and salt. A free booklet called Food Storage in The Home is available at your county agents office. You may have your copy by asking for it. Call HU , Koller's Town & Country Opens With 32 Lanes bowling house, with new lanes added to 14 others, was opened in Midvale this week at 7980 S.
