Bear Regulations Set Cougar The Utah Board of Fish and Game recently approved the issuance of the 1970-7- 1 cougar and bear hunting proclamation. The new proclamation cover the period from April 16, 1970 to April 15, 1971. Non-residen- Highlights of the proclama- tion are: Cougar may be taken any time during the year, but bear are legal game only during the season from May 15, 1970 to October 15, 1970. Hunters may take two cougar during the season; the season limit on bear is one adult bear. My husband and I moved here to escape the smog in Los Angeles. What Id like to know is why Salt Lakers are such lousy tippers? INTERMOUNTAIN STAMP CO. Dear Pinched: Low tipping is a common complaint among those who serve the public. Poor service is a common complaint with the public. However, I believe its true that peop'e in larger cities are more accustomed to rewarding good service with larger tips than are many Salt Lakers. Ten to fifteen percent of the bill is considered a standard tip. I cant explain why you are getting less than the ten percent minimum. If you are, it explains why there are so many help wanted ads for waitresses in the local papers. Dear Mike: Every year my brotHer-in-laGeorge brings his wife and their four kids to spend part of his vacation with us. Last year they w brought the wife's parents They are in their seventies and barely survived the thousand mile drive in the summer heat. My wife Renee spent two weeks nursing them back to health, a job which required her to cook special diets and chauffeur them to see our doctor while the rest of the tribe went on a nicnic.
