C COX With the new Snow College Library taking form so rapidly it is only natural that a lot of people are thinking about a proper name for forthe forthe forthe the building We admit being among them Different buildings are now named for former heads of the school Greenwood Noyes Nuttall some for former teachers Fern Young Mary Nielson That is very com com- But the thought struck us that had the school never been founded there would never have been any presidents principals or directors nor would there have been any teachers for The Sanpete Stake Academy Snow Academy Snow Junior College or Snow College College Col- Col lege as the school has been variously named So perhaps it would be a good idea to name a building maybe even the library for fora a founder Few if any will question that Canute Canute Canute Can Can- ute Peterson was probably more responsible than any other man for establishing Snow College in Ephraim Later when the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter Saints was dropping dropping dropping drop drop- ping the school and the State was reluctant to take over its operation no one did more to save the school than a grandson of Pres Canute Peterson Peter Canute Peterson Jr So would it be to not fitting name some r r. building The Canute Peterson S t Perhaps the library is th that t building W vr t J y |
