Merle Sund-beplayed the organ with finesse. Vicki Grob offered the spoken word. Soloists were: Bishop Robert Fitt, Jackman and baratone, Rulon Deward McMurdie, Tenor. LaRue Kevem, LuJean Fitt, Soprano and Jean Bryson, alto. A duet by Claudia Lindow and Michelle Fitt. Tro by Jean Bryson, LuJean Fitt and LaRue Kevern. Mr. and Mrs. Drexel V. Birch were sustained as the 'Improvement Era representatives. Mr. Birch will be artist for information services. Grant 1st Sunday morning, December 22 the Sunday school presented a most wonderful Christmas program. It consisted of music and talks by some of the adult members. Then a short colorful pageant depicting the birth of Jesus was presented by the Junior Sunday School. At Sacrament meeting the Christ- mas theme was again carried out. Lewis Boone told "The True Story of Christmas" and special numbers were furnished by the choir. Last Monday the Relief Society, both in the morning and evening meetings, held Christmas parties. The Cosial Relations lesson "Lighting the Way" was given by Esther Connelly. Luncheon was served by the presidency, Phyllis Hogge, Colbert and Vera Potter. Small gifts were exchanged and everyone had a fine time. Tuesday the M.I.A. members had their annual Yuletide party. All present went caroling and the singing was excellent. They later returned to the cultural hall for dancing and refreshments. The dance music was furnished by Jack SevLa-V- What the Shop Class Hath Wrought SANTA a helping hand are members of Granite Highs shop and David Harmon. They are assembling swag which they designed themselves. We will use what ever we take in to help supply our Sunday School. Another reason these plays are being presented is to encourage friendship among the ward members, so please come. The Burton Ward wishes you a Happy New Year. Three plays will be put on by the Burton Ward Sunday School, December 30 at 7:30. Two of the plays will be put on by the Senior Sunday School. They are "Virtue Triumphs" and "Romance at the Old Bar O" directed by Evan Chaffin. The Jr. Sunday School play "How Mrs. Claus Changed Christmas," has been especially adapted and directed by Linda Suzanne Chapman. The dancing and pantomime has been choreographed by Stephen Ken em erson. At Primary a spiritual Christmas theme prevailed last Tuesday. The Junior children in costume portrayed the Nativity scene while Sherry Madsen gave the Scripture reading. The older boys and girls contributed singing and other Christmas numbers.
