Show Interested in New Library? The new Utah State Library is operating under a state law, with state and federal money, which requires the State Library to direct its efforts toward better library service in the rural areas of Utah. Under the federal appropriation this includes all of Utah with the exception of cities of 10,000 population or more. There isnt enough money to help every county during the first year of operation, so we will have to concentrate our efforts in the areas where the greatest interest and need are shown by th local people of each area.
