Flangas of Magna, a member of the American rePhyto pathological Society, ceived recognition recently for his scientific research in Plant Pathology at the eighth annual meeting of the American Institute of Biological Sciences at Stanford University, Palo Alto, California. The presentation of his researches pointed to the need for changes in the me; hods used for the investigation of the genctical aspects underlying the developing of plant disease by plant parasites. His researches at the University of Wisconsin towards his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Plant Pathology have also won him a staff position at the University of Wisconsin to continue these studies. He will spend a year at Wisconsin to further his investigations. Upon completion of his appointment, he plans a professional career with the Rockefeller Research Foundation.
