Show The Ute 1 Maxine Natchees Marjorie Byers Ute Indian Tribe Two Indian tribes with funds to distribute to enrolled members from recent judgment settlements are presently seeking to notify individuals who may be eligible for tribal enrollment or who may have lost contact with their tribal offices about participating in the per capital distributions. The Eastern Band of Cherokee of North Carolina will soon be distributing per capita shares of more than $1.8 million. Tribal officials are concerned that the addresses of a significant number of tribal members are unknown, and that some individuals who are eligible for enrollment have not made application to be included in the tribal membership. Those who are descendants of members on the 1924 roll may obtain enrollment application forms from the Tribal Enrollment Office, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Council House, Cherokee, N.C., 27819.
