Show The Utah Woman's Review Page 13 Ballet West Off to Europe Willan Christensen's Ballet West will launch its first international tour this Bummer under the auspices of impresario Paul Szilard. The company's premiere is set for the Herod Atticus Theatre in Athens, July 30. After appearing there it will travel to Yugoslavia, Italy, Switzerland, France and Spain on a six-we- ek tour. The company of 40 dances, directed by Willam Christensen has its genesis in the dance department of the University of Utah, where Christensen formed a ballet curriculum in 1951, and out of which he formed the Utah Civic Ballet. This company was recipient of a Ford Foundation grant and six years later was incorporated as a professional company named Ballet West.
