A former Salt Lake City resident, Wallentine was raised on a cattle ranch in Southern Idaho. He has a degree in agricultural economics from Utah State University: For the past seven years he has served as director of staff departments for the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation in Des Moines, Iowa. Were looking forward to coming back to Utah, and the challenge of this new assignment is exciting to me, Wallentine said.
