Show TEST RUN, Dugway Proving Ground . High School Highlights atoice StBUMMTIP COCOA STEAKS by Judl Alg dance Dugway Higji School is now preparing for the biggest of the year - the Junior Prom. The Juniors are trying to get everything arranged to make the prom a big success and every one else is busy making plans that will make the whole evening a success. They are buying and making dresses, renting tuxedos, is making appointments to have their hair done and everyone adthis finance needed to raise the to money trying venture. Some people are still crossing their fingers, hoping for a date to the prom (hint, hint). THE PROM is put on by the Junior Class every year and this years prom should prove to be the prettiest and most memorable event of the whole year. Kathy Bilton was chosen as ' the Prom chairman this year with Mona Rojas as the entertain-- : ment ehairman, Nancy Brothers as the decoration chairman, Nancy the refreshment chairman, Pat Bullock in charge of Morgan Sam McBride in charge of and publicity The committee has chosen The Lonely Sea as the dance theme and a color scheme of varied shades of green and blue to transform the ballroom of the Officers Open Mess into a fairytale land of dreams and fun. The dance will be held on April 23 and requires formal.' dress. The yearly senior slump is again in evidence at DHS and it doesn't stop with the seniors - the whole school has spring fever. Every test and new assignment is met with groans of protest and students are caught daydreaming and gazing out the windows every hour. The end of this school year is looming up and as the year wkt the days become filled with more activities and plans than the rest of die year combined; but it's also much more fun and vacation will soon be herel REHEARSALS FOR the coming school play, The Boyfriend" are underway amid a whirl of activity for cast and staff members. The structure of such a play is incomplete without die vital work of the staff. Heading the students in this capacity is Terri Myers, student director. The muffled strains of music can be heard as the cast practices such scores as 'Tandy I Could Be Happy With You, and The BoyForgetting You, friend can be heard behind closed doors. Stage Manager Kim Langdorf is busy directing traffic back-stag- e and giving orders to his assistant, Denzial Snow. Business Manager Shirley Eastland is hastily giving assignments to her crew-Ka- e Olsen, Bonnie Olsen and May Nelson to meet the many, and ticket-sellinleadlines of publicity, program-makin- g COSTUME MANAGER Lawana Gerrard and her sewing circle are furiously reconstructing the Charleston Era with a colorful variety of beads, dresses and straw hats. Jan Slade and and her make-u- p crew are busily testing shades of make-u- p on the numerous characters.
