Morrow, that crews have cut a vein on the 800 level and now are driving through a fault to pick it up on the other side. He said crews drifted on the vein for four rounds before it was cut off by the fault, and said the ore was every bit as good as the ore found on upper levels. The .entire face of the drift was in ore, he noted, but the vein was not continuous across the face. Morrow added that the fault situation also was found on upper levels, and he said it was encouraging" that this is the first time the vein has been found east of the fault. About two more rounds will be necessary, he added, to bring the drift into the target area where he expects to pick up the vein again. On the 600 level, the total strike length of the vein was about 460 feet, Morrow said, which was longer than the strike length on the three upper levels. Personal considerations made the move imperative and weve pretty well completed the transition. The children wont arrive until the last week in June, and until the Big 8 army arrives, this old bachelor is rattling around in this big house in San Clementes Shorecliffs like a B B in a bass drum. San Clemente is beautiftil and both the beach and the golf course look inviting, and we intend to investigate as soon as we make a large enough dent in the work thats piled up over the past two months. Such as answering complaints from subscribers .. . All subscriptions will be extended three months to make up for the. missed issues, deresulting from our uplays and other foul-up- s heaval. Hopeftiily, the erratic delivery of the OMJ will soon become a bad memory as we get back into the groove. San Clemente is, as everyone knows, the site of the Western White House, and we were asked the other night if we lived anywhere near Mr. Nixon. We responded, with accuracy, that if you were standing out to sea and looking inland at San Clemente, Mr. Nixon would be on your far right and we would be on the far left On the other hand, if you were standing inland and looking out to sea, Mr. Nixon would be. on the far left and we would be on the far right... It all depends on your point of view, we suppose, and as newsmen we make every effort to restrict our political attitudes and activities to the ballot box. Which does not mean we wont take up the battle over specific issues if the spirit moves us . . . In a recent shareholder meeting in Las Vegas some rather interesting things happened between General American Corp. Not quite a merger or joint venture , the companies have agreed to share the management skills of the two corporations. Internal considerations of the other company have held up negotiations but we understand there's a clear track ahead, on the move.
