Lee likes to hunt, fish and go snowmobiling. Susan ' enjoys skiing, needlepoint, macrames and makes "weed wreaths. Catlina and Roque Rivera J have come from San Manuel, Phillipines and are living with their daughter and husband, Mildred and Willis Wilchen and children Lan, Catalina, and Johnny Joseph. Willis is owner of auto repair and custom automobile building in Smithfield. Debbie and Warren But-tar- s and son Ryan have sold their mobile home and purchased a home in Smithfield. Terry and John Copeland have purchased the Buttar's mobile home. They moved from an apartment in Logan. Wil-che- Terrys parents are Margaret and Jimmy Clark, Monroe and Johns mother is Mrs. Evelyn Copeland living in Logan. John is employed at Schri-ber- s Cheese. Susan and Denzel Stoker and children Ann Elizabeth and Russel Cordell have purchased a home on Maple Drive. Denzel is employed at the Herald Journal. He was transfered from Price where Sun he worked on the Advocate. Denzel is a good artist with scenes and wood mosiac. Susan says she loves to cook." John, Marlene Lamb and their children Jay and Lara drove from Spring Arbor, Michigan, to visit Johns mother, Beth Lamb, in Smithfield and Marlens parents, Ardell and Levor Kofoed, Logan. Mrs. Lamb's, Susan Peterson and baby Jeremiah flew from Missoula, Mont., and a sister, Laura Lou and Dick A daughter of Campbell, Richmond entertained with a dinner Friday. Gifts were exchanged. The Smithfield 6th LDS Ward Christmas party was held with the Primary giving the program. They sang several songs led by Mi chelle Weaver and Gloria Holt accompanied by Cheryl Ballard. Carey and Corey Saxton gave a poem. Marsha and Steve Weber sang a duet. Aaron Weber sang a solo. The Frank Condie family accompanied, on musical instruments, Lisa Pitcher, Kathy Young and Cristin Anderson in a song. In the cultural hall, French Dip sandwiches were served. Darlene Smith was in charge. Santa visited an presented all the children with a gift. About 400 attended. Chairman was Loyal Anderson, President of the High Priests. The Joyce and Lyn Cheal family were a little lonesome this year, three of their five boys are serving missions. Fred is serving in Australia; Brian in Illinois and Robert Just left for England. At home are Rodney and Blake. The Fifth Ward Relief Society held a Christmas party with Beverley Nilson conducting. A turkey dinner was served to about 100 members and husbands. Kathy Ward and her family gave the program of dancing, singing, stories and slides accompanied on the piano by Kathys brother. Melva and Nard Allen, Cove, also their four children, Tom, Elaine, Donna and Karen drove to Melva's mothers, Mrs. Ada Nielsen, in Hyrum where other family members gathered from Smithfield; Weston, Idaho, Brigham City, Hyrum and Logan. About 60 were present Christmas Eve. Visiting was enjoyed, refreshments served and Santa arrived and gave each a gift. A son and wife Jeanette and Niel Allen, Logan, also attended. Niel is a student at Ruth Ann and Kent Ryan and family Roxanne, Jennifer and Gerald held a Christmas party at their home for Ruth Alin's folks, her parents, Lorraine and Walter Snelgrove; sisters and their grandchildren. SUMMIT CAMP l)L P Summit Camp Daughters of Utah Pioneers held their Armory Monday afternoon. Captain Sadie Elder con- ducted. Prelude was played by Fern Heaps. Beatrice Thornley gave the history of her grandmother, Beatta Maria Gun- derson. "An Enduring Legacy" was the lesson given by Ruth Gregory. The musical program was put on by LuDcan and Jim Pond and family. Christmas Carols were sung by the group led by Velva Allsop, accompanied by Fern Heaps. The officers prepared and served refreshments to the 33 members present. t, Three men of the ward dressed as the 3 wise men (costumes were rented from U.S.U. and beards, etc. were used. The film The Littlest Camel, was shown. It was said the true spirit of Christmas like it was years ago, was truly portrayed. June and Alton Kingsford and daughter Angela, Cove, gifts exchanged. The Fourth Ward Special Interest Saturday, met at the Lofthouse dining room for their Christmas social. Favors were presented each one. They autographed each others place mats. Dinner was enjoyed by Alice Pond, Vivian Meikle, Ella Mae Julson, Beth Lamb, tirlean Speth, Lowell Plowman, Vera Noble, Vera Roskelly, Alta Allsop, Lou Allsop, Velva Allsop, Mild- red Fridli, Beth Fisher, Dorothy Smith, Janice Norma Marriott, Edith Peterson, Mary Ballard and Adaline Corbett. DeLone and Louis West entertained Saturday night at their home with a Christmas dinner for their daughter and her husband, Joyce and Gary Allen, Cove and their family Kim, Connie, Sid, Dan, Kenny and Dixie and Garys mother, Mrs. Flora Allen; also De Lones mother, Anna Humphreys and friends Kathy and John Neal and family, Brian and Mendiath, Smithfield. After supper, Santa came and gave each one a gift. Kim Allen, son of Joyce and Gary Allen, Cove, has just returned home from a two year mission to Sweden. Hill-yar- . Offer Good Until Dec. Paradise; Mrs. John (CloDean) Riches, Smithfield; Wendell and LaMarr Munk, Benson. A son, Lionel Munk Jr., died April 12, 1970. He has 24 grandchildren and 31 great mond. The children played games and a social afternoon was spent after a delicious ham and roast beef dinner. The 5th Ward LDS Primary held their Christmas drove to Idaho Falls to enjoy Christmas with a daughter and husband, Lynette and Dick Jones and children, Diane, Heidi and Amy. CLUB Commun- U.S.U. Man observes Lionel L. Munk was honored by his family on his 91st birthday at a dinner at his home in Benson. Munk was born Dec. 16, 1886, a son of Andrew George and Mary Jorgensen Munk, Benson. On Dec. 11, 1912, he married Gurena Johnson of Logan in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Benson. Mrs. Munk died in October of 1968. He served as counselor in the bishopric for 21 years. He was a home teacher until a few years ago. He was president of the Riverside Culinary Water System for 14 ward members Paradise and Walts brother Eddie Snelgrove of Rich- COMMUNITY tne smithfield The Cache Price Of One Industrial Workshop held a social in the church house cultural hall Friday. The 50 students played games, danced, sang Christmas carols and a candle was given each by the Workshop. Refreshments of sandwiches, cookies and punch were served by the Cache County School District and students. A Christmas project was the children were asked to bring something families. for needy David Henderson, their teacher, said it was amazing the amount of canned gtxxis that were put under the Christmas tree that the children had decorated.
