They were married Dec. 11, 1927, in Evanston, Wyo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. no-ho- st They are both lifetime residents of Smithfield and are now residing at 325 South 3rd West. Both were born to pioneer parents, Mr. and Sirs. Samuel Peter Nilson, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lester Pitcher. They have spent their entire married life working together, on their farm in Smithfield and on a ranch in w, Smithfield Canyog. Always working side by LADIES FUN CLUB side in raising their six children, they still enjoy seeing their children and in helping to raise their grandchildren. They are proud of their family and the ranch in Smithfield Canyon is a favorite spot for everyone to meet and enjoy being together. The Ladies Fun Club with husbands as guests enjoyed dinner Friday evening at Juniper Inn. Following they met at the home of Carol and Nolan Bingham to exchange gifts. MR. AND MRS. MILES R. NELSON . Their children include Mr. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Downs, Smithfield are happy to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Tammie Sorenson to Bart Burr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burr, Nibley. Tammie is also the daughter of Carl J. Sorenson, Logan. The young couple will be married Friday Dec. 16, 1977 at the Downs home. An open . house will be held there from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. TRENTON TRACKS New Jersey visitors in Trenton Visitors from their home in East Brunswick, New Jersey, have been their daughter and husband, Qaren and Joseph Peterson. They flew in last week to make final preparations for their daughters wedding. Their dau- ghter, Jolene, will marry George Yaede in the Salt Lake Temple next week. Mr. and Mrs. LaGrande Reeder were pleased to have their daughter-in-laJudy, and their grandchildren, Michael and Lisa on Saturday. They also visited with Mrs. Reeders mother, Velva Weston of Logan. Judy and her children came from their home in Manacose, Colo. Junior and Larene Chambers and their two sons, Brian, 2, and Joshua, 3 months, have moved here from Smithfield. The Cham bers are living in their mother, Ruths home, and die has moved to Smithfield into their home. We welcome them to the community. LOUIS HODSON Memorial services were at Northwestern held in Memorial Hospital Chicago, 111., for Dr. Louis Alan Hodson Jr., former resident of Richmond. He died in Chicsgo of Hodgkins Disease. LDS Church services were conducted in Richmond, followed by the memorial rites at Northwestern University Medical School, where he was studying at the time of in 1969 with a major in microbiology. At the U he was an honor student, and on the deans honor roll. He began his dental training at Northwestern in Sep- tember, 1969. During his sophomore year he was student council class represen-- , tative. In 1971 it was dis- covered that he had Hodgkins Disease. . death. Dr. Hodson was bom Feb. 1946, in Richmond, the son of Alan and Effie Hodson. He resided in Rich15, mond, graduating from North Cache High School where he was an honor student. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Utah He remained in school and became vice president Of the junior class and president of the senior clsss. He also was elected to membership in the Alpha Chapter 'of Omricon Kappa Epsilon, nationsl dental honor society, and served as chsirman of the Robert Hansbrough education at Northwestern, Dr. Hodson was accepted in the advanced program in oral surgery. Throughout his three years in the oral surgery residency program, he established an outstanding record despite periodic exacerbations of his illness. as an undergraduate and graduate student, and having passed the national medical board examination, he was admitted to the Northwestern University Medical School in September, 1976, at an advanced standing as a junior medical student.
