Show Funeral Held For Ida B. B Nielson Funeral services for Mrs Ida Pearl Beal Nielson 83 were conducted by Bishop Max W. W Craner in the Ephraim Ephraim Ephraim Eph Eph- raim North Ward Chapel Tuesday at 1 p. p pm p.m. m. m Mrs Nielson wife of Aaron G G. G Nielson died at p. p pm p.m. m. m Saturday apparently of of aheart a aheart aheart heart attack relatives report She was seriously ill 1 last a s t spring at which time surgery was considered but was ruled out due to a heart condition family members state She and Mr Nielson had eaten their noon meal and then ashad as ashad ashad had been customary with them took a brief rest sheon she sheon sheon on a couch and he in a reclining re reclining reclining re- re clining chair Mr Nielson whose eye sight is very poor was not sure just what happened whether she was trying to get up or just fell off the couch But when she did not answer him he went to her and could get no response He then went from the house and groped his way to the home of her sister Mrs Newton E E. E Noyes two doors south She went to the Nielson home immediately immediately immediately imme imme- and as Mr Nielson attempted to return he fell felland felland felland and was helped up by LeRoy E. E Peterson and a passing stranger Mr Peterson and Peter O. O Peterson then helped helped helped help help- ed him into the h house use A doctor doctor doctor doc doc- tor was called who pronounced ed Mrs Nielson dead She was born in Ephraim Oct 14 1879 to John Samuel and Emma Katinka Thursby Beal and grew up here attending at attending attending at- at tending local schools including including including ing Snow Academy She was married to Aaron Godfrey Nielson June 6 1906 at Eph Eph- raim She had been active in the Church including serving as secretary of the North Ward Relief Society for 15 years Survivors include her hus hus band and one son Lloyd H. H Nielson Ephraim two daughters daughters daughters daugh daugh- Mrs Frank Mae Grove Manti and Mrs Ralph Dot Grant Salt Lake City ten grandchildren one sister Mrs Noyes Prayer at the Nielson home prior to the funeral was by Wm G. G Barton the invocation invocation invocation tion was by Donald C. C Dobson Dobson Dobson Dob- Dob son and the benediction by LaVar Isaacson of Salt Lake City Mrs Armada B B. B Cox played prelude and postlude organ music and also accompanied a choir directed by Mrs Marie Benson which sang two numbers Gently Raise the Sacred Strain and Now from Care and Sorrow both favorites of Mrs Niel Niel- son Other music included a vocal solo Calvary by Montel Montel Montel Mon Mon- tel Green accompanied by V Mrs Norma S S. S Olson and a vocal solo In The Garden by Maurice Nielsen accompanied accompanied accompanied by Mrs Cox Mrs Nielson had previously re requested requested requested re- re quested In My Fathers Father's House Are Many Mansions by byMel- byMel Melba Melba Mel Mel- ba K Armstrong but Mrs Mra Armstrong was unable to sing because of illness Speakers were Elder Thorpe B. B Isaacson of Salt Lake City assistant to the Council of Twelve of the Church and a cousin of Mrs Nielson and Patriarch Glen J J. J Nielson Burial was in the Park Cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Reuel E. E Christensen Mr Nielson Wednesday re requested requested requested re- re quested that he be taken to toa toa toa a rest home in Nephi and was taken there that afternoon |
