Show OBITUARIES Sky View falls to West, gets ready for Logan Saturday 13-1- 2; : ; By NATHAN CHENEY Sky View Sports Reporter Defeated though they were, Sky Views Bobcats are back on the trail. After decision last losing a Friday afternoon to the West High Panthers, the Sky View coaching staff has new hope for its inexperienced team. Although the West High Panthers gained more yards from rushing, the Bobcats capitalized on the Panthers mistakes to keep the game a close one. A bad snap to West High's punter found its way into the waiting arms of Read Murray, who carried it to the seven yard line. On the next play Sky View was held to no gain but an opening for a pass was found on the second down and Sky View took a 60 lead in the first' 13-1- 2. quarter. On the first play of the second period, Bob Holtry of West High snared a Bobcat pass and returned it 12 yards to the Sky View 24. On the very next play the Panther quarterback found his tailback with a pass, who sprinted all the way to a score. West High then kicked the extra point which eventually became the game point. After a number of Panther losses, Sky View took the ball on the Panthers' 31. It took Sky View quarterback, Paul Spackman Just a few minutes to find his teammate Corey Johnson with a pass. Johnson then, after breaking away from a tackier, sprinted 31 yards to paydirt. After Spademan's conversion faded, Sky View held the lead at 12-With no more scoring until the middle of the fourth, the game still proved to be an exciting one with pass 7. interceptions and fumbles popping up occasionally.
