Surviving are his widow; sons and daughters. Vaughan. Ogden; Beulah Warner, Redondo Beach, Calif.; LEONARD MATTHEWS Funeral services for Leonard Matthews, 87, were conducted Monday in the Rich-- . mond Stake Center. Burial was in the Richmond City Cemetery. He died in the Valley View Nursing Home in Mendon. He was born Sept. 22, 1889, in Hyrum, a son of Henry and Marie Stien Matthews. He married Dorothy Sorenson in 1935 in Malad City, Idaho. The marriage later was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Matthews was a painter by trade, and active in the and Elizabeth (Libby) Merrill Hendricks. He married Annie Timmins in the Logan IDS Temple in 1915. Mr. Hendricks farmed a homestead briefly in the Junction Valley in Southern Idaho, then moved back to the family farm in North Richmond. Well known for his interest in high-tes- t dairy herds, he was affiliated w ith Black and White Days activities for many years. A member of the LDS Church, he was a High Priest in the Richmond North Ward, and had served as a counselor in the ward bish Reatrice Sparks, Provo: Roma Kreeger, Escondido, Calif.; Lynn, Huntsville; and grandchildren. Utah, died Thursday at the McKay Hospital in Ogden of a heart ailment. She was tmrn March 3, I H)5. in (.ewiston. a daughter of Richard and Irene Grif-fet- h Talbot. On May 31. 1944, she married Elwyn A. Thomas in the I,ogan LDS Temple. She was raised in Lewiston. later moving to Ogden, then going to Clearfield in 1958.
