Show HURMiAf, SETT. 16, 1976 Family Holds Reunion by Gladys Loosle Clarkslon A family reunion was held under the Bowery on the public square in honor of George Blaine and Norma Myler, who are leaving the States around Sept 18 for Indonesia where he will be employed. Those enjoying the day besides Mr. and Mrs. Myler were Alph and Ruby Godd frey, Ven and Delwyn and family, Sarah Godd frey, Larry and Valene and family, all of and Ken Bills were sustained to serve as teachers in Sunday School. Joey Loosle, son of Faye and Joe Loosle was sustained Sunday to be ordained a teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood. and Mrs. Bosley, Arizona; Judy and Theron Godfrey and family, Logan; Carolyn Smith and family, Amalga; Mr. and Mrs. Darrell and family, Grants-villand LaRell and Lareen Thompson and family, Howell. On Labor Day approximately 35 members of the Ward rode their horses to the top of Gunsight mountain, west of Oarkston. During Sacrament meeting Sunday Kim Sparks and Sheila Godfrey were released as teachers in Sunday School and Rojer Sorenson nished by the ward choir. Weekend guests at the home of George and Gladys Loosle was their son, Marvin and Pat Loosle and daughter, Korie, of Draper. CttiseaPkeU Ded-ricks- on e; Our Cook of the Week is Barber Cole, who with her husband, Howard, recently moved to Lewiston from Denny, Calif., a small mountain community in Northern California. Howard works at Pepperidge Farm in Richmond. .Their children are: David, a journeyman electrician, presently working for U.S. Forest Service in Denny. Barbara's hobbies Include reading, sewing,, hsnd- - The Ward Sacrament meeting was conducted by LeRoy Goodey. Speakers were Jolene Godfrey, High Councilman, Stratford Loosle and his son Lyndon Loosle, who has returned from an LDS mission to Switzerland. Music was fur- visited at the homes of Barbara and Venis Clark, Elaine and Vddon Goodey and with other friends during the week. Mrs. Moss is a former Oarkston resident. Ryan and Lori Clark, of Logan, spent the weekend with their grandparents, Barbara and Venis Clark, while their parents were in Boise, Idaho, on business. Sunday dinner guests at the home of Andrew and Corrine Heggie was her sister, Ruby Tuddenham of Blacksmith Fork and her son, Kenneth Tuddenham, of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Verl (Fay) Thompson has returned home from the Logan Hospital where she was receiving medical treatment. Mrs. Brigham (Bessie) Griffin has also returned to her home after receiving medical treatment in a Salt Lake hospital. Rebecca Soelberg, a teacher at BYU and her brother, Steven Soelberg, a student at the Y; were weekend guests at the home of their grandmother, Mrs. Mary H. Griffin. They are the daughter and son of Dr. Kenneth and June Soelberg of Menlo Park, Calif. Kathryn and Evan Godfrey were weekend guests at the home of his brother LaVar and LonaMae Godfrey in Kaysville. They also attended the State Fair on Saturday. The family of the late A.H. . Jardine enjoyed a er in Dry Canyon. Lyle flew Bar-so- in from London where he is employed for Univac and will be in the States for about two weeks. His wife, Janice and two children remained at their home in St.' Albans Hertsfordshire. Jane and Kim Sparks have moved to Brigham City to make their home. Kim will attend Weber State College this tall. Sybil Goodey accompanied their daughter, Merle and Alan Cornish and family of Kearns to Grand Prairie, Tex., where they will make their home. Mrs. Goodey spent ten days there visiting with her daughter, Karen Schoen and sons, David and Micheal. She also enjoyed a football game between the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Oilers. She returned hone by plane. Helen Heggie of Salt Lake City visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Heggie, over the Labor Day weekend. Others who attended the wedding reception were An- Wednesday evening many Newtonites and family members attended the wedding and reception for Doug Baker of Roy, a son of Jim and Liz Baker of Roy and Kay Ryan daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ryan of Salt Lake City. It was held at the Heritage House Chapel in Salt Lake City. Doug is the grandson of Mildred Sutherland of Newton. Those who enjoyed this special evening were: Mildred Sutherland, Marsha and Mamie Jenkins of Newton; Susan, Michelle and Tina White, Pocatello, Idaho; Debra and Leda Sutherland, Royden Benson, Hazel Rigby, Eunice Cooley, of Newton; Mary Ann and Kelley Booth, of Las Vegas, Nevada; Doris and Jolene Benson, all of Newton; the Baker , nette and Mark Benson, Norma Christensen, of Newton; Dixie Low Poole and three daughters, of Los Angeles,; Jackie S. Leavitt and son of Salt Lake City. Doug will be remembered by his many fine performances at the Lyric Summer Theatre, at the USU and at this summers Sherwood Hills outdoor theatre. Also he received the talent award at the Robins Award night at USU in 1976. Hyde Park Briefs A new family coming irom Millville is Robert and Lois Reeder, 137 East 2nd North. They are related to Glenn and Mary Reeder. They have four children, Aileen, Shane, 16, Robert, Klay, 2 months.. 14, 17, and Robert is a dealer for the ' Valley Selling Colbac for Trans Agria. Lois teaches 4th grade at Hillcrest. She has taught for 4 years. Add: 1 tsp. water. ' Let stand few hours for fuU flavor, and add more sugar or other ingredients to your taste. Keeps refrigerated for months.
