Mr. Kjar was born in Aalborg, Denmark and came to the United States in 1920. After working a short time in ' Park City he settled in Preston, first working for Pete Jorgensen and then for . Rasmus Jensen. He has made eight spiral staricases for homes and businesses in the valley in the past five years.
