David is serving in the Navy, and is stationed at Corry Station, Pensacola, Fla. He is a Seaman Apprentice. Joy Jardine, daughter of Annette and Sterling Jardine was crowned queen of the Christmas ball at Sky View High School on Saturday evening. Congratulations Joy! Bessie Griffin returned home on Friday after spending four days in North Logan at the home of her son, Terry Griffin and family, Kayleen, Terrys wife gave birth to a baby boy December 16. Otella Buttars, Logan, a former Clarkston resident visited with friends Sunday, and also attended church Sunday evening. Theo and LeWinn Buttars and family of Blackfoot visited during the weekend with members family and friends. Flossie and Joe Atkinson of Trenton and Lottie Lue and Dean Phillips and son of Preston visited at the home of their brother and sister-in-laRoss and Louise Buttars, and they also attended church Sunday. Bonnie Pearce and Paula Goodey were released from their positions in Relief Society on Sunday and Sheila Godfrey, Margie Archibald and Ruth Ann Clark were sustained to serve in the Relief Society. The memberships of Delilah and Wesley Everhart and children, Edwin, Michael, Twila and Brent were read in church. They also have a new baby. They are former residents of Logan. Jennie and Brigham Godfrey entertained at their home on Saturday in honor of their sister, Annie T. Godfrey, who is observing her 91st birthday anniversary. Dinner and visiting were enjoyed by the guest of honor, Don and Leora Thompson, Etta Thompson, and Lela and Lee Thompson of Garland. Sunday dinner guests at the home of LaRaine and Charles Pearce were their daughter, Shauna and Kent Parker and children, Shane and Holly of Providence and her parents. Rangna and Paul M. Clark. Karen Schoen and sons, David and Michael, of Grand Prairie, Texas came Friday to visit with her parents, Sybil and Dallas Goodey. They plan to stay 10 days. Jennie and Brigham Godfrey are going to Ogden on Tuesday to a family party which will be given at the home of their daughter, Elizabeth and John Lott, and family. Sybil and Dallas Goodey entertained at dinner on Sunday. Guests were Myrna and Michael DeGrisselles and family of Granger; Rhonda Goodey, Logan; Karen Schoen and sons, Texas. The occasion was the birthday anniversaries of their daughter, Rhonda and granddaughter, Teresa Gladys and George Loosle left on Monday to spend the Christmas holidays with memhers of their family, Darrell and Margaret Ixwsle and family. Moreland, Idaho, and Brenda and Ron Jacques and family in Ammon. Idaho. Sarah Godfrey has gone down to Circleviile. Utah, to spend the Christmas holidays with her daughter. Mardean and Keith Dalton and family. Visiting at the home of Ruby and Alph Godfrey on Sunday were their children. Carolyn Smith. Sue, Tina and Jennie of Amalga. and Theron and Judy Godfrey. Annie Ruth Griffin was born in Clarkston, a daughter of Ruth Maughan and Thomas Griffin. She attended Utah State University. She also graduated from the Utah-Iduh- School of Nurs- o ing. Both Mr. and Mrs. Crook-stn- n has been very active in church and civic affairs. They have four sons. They are Mr. and Mrs. Glen Crookston, Tucson, Ariz., Mr. and Mrs. James A. Crookston, Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Crookston, Scottsdale, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Crookston, Tempe, Ariz. A Christmas program was greatly enjoyed in Sunday School conducted by DeMarr Griffiths, president of the Sunday School. The Junior Sunday School children sang two numbers directed by Ruth Buttars accompanied by Mary Godfrey and Christie Jardine. Glen Godfrey sang a solo. O Holy Night," accompanied by Cherrill Clark. The ward choir entertained on Sunday evening during Sacrament meeting with a Christmas Cantata. A very large crowd of ward members and visitors were in attendance. The choir was under the direction of Cherrill Clark, accompanied by Bcrniece Griffin on the piano, and Leola Christensen at the organ. Veldon Goodey was the narrator, Joseph T. Griffin is the choir president. The family of Jayne Jardine held their annual Christ- mas Palmer 8 8 Saturday after daughter, Sincerely, Roger A. 8 8 8 8 spending three weeks in Idaho Falls with his son and family.
