Remove from heat and stir in oil. Put all other ingredients together. Add the cooled raisin mixture. Stir until al the flour is combined. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. 1 1 CARMEL ICING (For Spicy Cookie) 2 cups brown sugar 2 tablespoon 23 cup milk light brown and thick enough to spread. 1 yeast cakes cup warm water tablespoon sugar cup scalded milk cup melted shortening 13 cup sugar 2 teaspoons salt 2 eggs, beaten 4 to 5 cups unsifted flour Mix yeast, warm water and tablespoon sugar and let stand a few minutes. Add shortening, sugar and salt to cooled scalded milk. Then add eggs, yeast mixture and flour. Mix. Mixture will be sticky. Don't knead. Place in fridge overnight. Two hours before ready to use take out of refrigerator and knead well. Roll on floured board. Spread with soft butter. Form into desired 2 shapes. Raise 2 hours. Bake 400 degrees for minutes.
