The ceremony will be pei formed in the Logan LDS Temple on April 25. A by Evelene Moody The family of Inez and Joseph A. Berger of 2817 North 12th East Street in North Logan honored them with an open house at the Smithfield Lions Lodge on Saturday. wedding breakfast at the Smithfield Lions Lodge will be given by the parents of the groom, following the ceremony. Parents of the bride invite all friends and relatives to a reception April 26 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Dayton LDS Ward cultural hall. No local invitations will be sent. Marva is a graduate of West Side High School at Dayton, and Ricks College of Rexburg, and she has also attended Idaho State University at Pocatello. She served a mission to Germany for the Church of Jesus Christ of It was the Bergers fiftieth wedding anniversary. They are the parents of three children: Mrs. Creed (Ruby) Johnson of Smith-fieland Dewain Berger of North Logan. A son, Larry, is deceased. The Bergers also have seven grandchildren and d, three Mrs. Berger was lovely great-grandchildr- in a long pink dress with an orchid corsage, and Mr. Berger admired his gold-tipp- ed white carnation bou- Latter-da- y tonniere. Saints. Ned is a graduate of Sky View High School at Smiths field, and of Utah State University at Logan. Ruby Johnson and Barbara Berger wore corsages of pink roses and white carnations. He served an LDS mis- sion to France and Belgium. The couple will make their home in Salt Lake City, where he is employed. en. A three - tiered wedding cake made by a niece-inlaPat Wilson of Hyde Park, was beautifully decorated and on display. Mr. Berger was bom in Logan on October 15, 1903, a son of Marie Beutler and Gotlieb Berger. Mrs. Berger was born in North Logan on December 20, 1904, a daughter of Edward andEmma James w, Palmer. They were married April .15, 1924. Their early married life was spent in Benson, where they operated a farm. Later they moved to Salt Lake City, where he worked for Garrett Freight Lines. They are both interested in conservation and sports. This interest led them to employment by the State Fish and Game Department Hardware Ranch, which they managed for 18 years. During their tenure at Hardware they made many friends from all over the West, and he garnered many awards, including that of outstanding state Since his retirement the couple have continued their interest in sports, and they also enjoy gardening and keeping their garden a show-pla- ce of North Logan. The couple also enjoy visiting with friends at their cabin in Blacksmith Fork Canyon. r Trenton Trippings Mr. and Mrs. Dave Blea-za- rd and their family of Reno have been recent visi- tors of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Marriott. Mr. and Mrs. Lennis Chambers and their family attended LDS conference at Salt Lake City, and while there they were guests of their daughter and Susan and Paul Olcott. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Flossie Atkinson and Norma Reeder attended the funeral services Katie Atkinson at Clarkston on Tuesday. Clarkston Chatter CLARKSTON - Barbara and Venis Clark and Kathy and Lloyd Clark spent the weekend in parts of Arizona and Nevada. Ruth and Douglas Clark and heir family, along with Pearl and Max Clark and their family, met their par- ents, Sarah and Andrew Clark, and their brother and sister-in-laJay and Sharon Clark, and their family,1 at Disneyland last week. The convention was held at the Lafayette ballroom of the Hotel Utah, with Kate B. Carter, national presi- dent, in charge. Thirty women of the North Cache Company traveled on a chartered bus. They all considered the trip a wonderful experience.
