During Smithfield 3rd LDS Ward fast services Sunday the son of LuDean and James Pond was christened Jason Richard Pond by his father, assisted by his grandfather Lew P. Allsop, his Uncle Richard Allsop, home-teachReed Hayes, and three teacher Reed Hayes, and three members of the bishopric. After the services they all met at the Pond home to enjoy a turkey dinner. Others present were Elaine and Jay Anderson of North Logan, and their seven children; an aunt, an uncle and cousins of the baby-- in addition to Valeria Pond, the childs grandmother, plus the Ponds eight other children.
