Show 10 - THE CITIZEN - THURSDAY, OCT. 18. 1973 North Cache Band Presents Concert ' North Cache Jr. High School Bands, under the. direction of Bill Bertolio and Boyd Erick-- , sen, will present their annual Fall Concert on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 8:00 p.m. The event will take place in the new just north of the main building. The public is cordially invited to attend at no cost. Featured on the concert will be the Cadet Band, Jazz ensemble, and Honor Band. The cadet band will play Bonanza arranged by Magil, Jamaica Farewell arranged by Low-deWorld is a Ghetto arModal ranged by Gilman, March arranged by Tyra and Hogans March by Fielding. The Jazz ensemble will perform The Big Shot by Gold and Feldstein and The Swizzler also by Gold and Feldstein. Finishing up the program, the Honor Band will play Paint Your Wagon Arranged by Cacavas, Walt Disney Overture by Frank Erickson, Bridge Over Troubled Water arranged by gym-naisiu- Bene Arnold, ballet mistress for Ballet West, has announced the schedule for the annual auditions for the Christmas production of the Nutcrack-- . m er. Auditions for the youth roles will be conducted Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2nd and 3rd at the Ballet West offices at .168 West 5th North. Miss Arnold and Assistant Ballet Mistress Sondra Sugai will conduct the auditions. Children for general use must be between the ages of 9 and 12 years of age and older with at least 4 years of training. Height requirements are 5 feet, Vz inches and taller. Boys of any height with at least one year of training are also eligible for audition. Interested dance students may make an appointment for an audition by calling the Ballet 3 West office at between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. John by In addition to its concert activities, the Honor Band toured early this year. The select group presented a program to South Cache and Bear' River Jr. Highs on Wednesday Oct. 17. This group gets its name, Honor, because its mem-- . bers have been selected through a special audition held last Spring. The band consists of 8th and 9th graders who have achieved outstanding musician- ship and bandsmanship cap--: abilities over the past one or two at North Cache. The 90 Honor Band students have been screened from a band enroll-- , at North Cphe of over 300 musicians. Leroy-Anderson- Auditions from , October 15 through October 31. All eligible students must have an appointment for an audition and all appointments must be made by October 31. STATE HIGHWAY PLANNING MEETING The State Road Commission of Utah is actively seeking greater public involvement in planning future highway improvements. A series of meetings have been scheduled to discuss the programming of proposed improvements to the State Highway System polAA) in this area. This is your opportunity to provide valuable input for punning improvements to the State Highway System. Citizens' Party, City Library, LeRoy Parkinson, Chairman Two meetings have been scheduled for the Bear River Association of Governments Planning District which includes the counties of Box Elder, Cache and Rich.
