The Sid Karrens attended the ROTC Commissioning ceremonies at Utah State University Friday where their son, Bruce, was commissioned a second lieutenant. They were also happy to attend Commencement exercises at the University where Bruce and Variety Club Elects Officers Business. Mr. and Mrs. Oral Layne spent a few days last week in Idaho Falls with their daughter and her family, the Douglas Camerons. Mr. and Mrs. E.N. Larsen of Long Beach, California have been recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Alvey and family. Mrs. Larsen is Mrs. Alveys mother. The Larsens also visited the Dee Bassett family in Wellsville and other family members at Downey, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gereaux and children were guests on Saturday of the James Hammond family of Ogden. Mrs. Gereaux and Mrs. Hammond are sisters. Most of the afternoon was enjoyed at Lagoon with all the exciting things to do there. The group then went to the Salt Lake Temple grounds where they took a tour and viewed the exhibits and i K those from Lewiston who attended the Golden Wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Myrl Bodily which was held at the Fairview Ward Recreation hall Saturday evening. Mrs. Poulsen was returning to her home from a trip to Missouri to visit her granddaughter.
