Show I 1 CACHE CITIZEN, THURSDAY MARCH 8, 1973 Sky View Sports Cats Snare Region Crown by Vince Saunders Take one of the greatest rivalries in the histor of the state of Utah, put it in front of 8,500 fans and you have what Cache Valley saw Triday night as the undefeated Sky View Bobcats took on the Logan Grizzilies in the USU Spectrum. When The smoke cleared, the Bobcats had come out again victorious over their southern neighbors, The game was tied nine times and neither team held a lead of more than seven points. After the score was tied l, Sky the Loganites View 0 in a three minute span and it was this spurt which sealed the Logan defeat. Though Sky View had its cold spots one man seemed to carry them through their troubles until the team was hitting again. This night is was to be Ed Erickson and Kent Tingey who emerged as the heroes of the game. With both teams missing easy shots in the opening minutes, it looked like it would be the typical battle of one team making mistakes and the other capitalizing on them. The play was poor in the first period as both teams forced shots and turned the ball over.
