Aside from knowing legal aspects of running the county and tow to put his finger on any specific contract or record at a moments notice, Cleo was knowledgeable of community affairs also. He bad a special knack of getting to the heart of matters with very few words, leaving no question of bow he felt on any subject. He also made it bard for others to be evasive, and accepted people for what they were individually. Cleo lived his life to the fullest, and seemed to enjoy it all. His eyes often containd a mischievous sparkle that warned those around him to expect the unexpected. His sense of humor was sometimes dry and quite sophisticated, making you proud of your own intelligence when you could understand his witticisms. By short, we mean almost instantaneous, quick as a wink, or, more aptly, quick as a sniff. A news bulletin recently noted that Americans annually eat more than 110-milli-on cups of commerby cial yogurt reinforced fruit, and the number is going up aM the time. The article went on to say that dieters love yogurt because it is low in calorics but retains the full vitamin, protein and mineral content of pasteurized milk. Yogurt Is eaten extensively by Bulgarians, who have the highest percentr age of persons in the - more age bracket. Girls In Iran apply it as a facial, while others there mix it with chopped garlic for malaria. eight-ounc- e 100-o- Advocates of yogurt have claimed it preserves good looks, helps cure ulcers and had digestion, relieves and takes the pain out of a gouty foot, as well as forstalling hangovers by drastically reducing the alcohol level in the blood. DETRACTORS OF this panacea say that it has all toe taste thrill of elderly library paste, winch they think ft looks like anyway, and if it is healthy at aH, it is only because anything that tastes that bad must be good tor you. Now, yogurt is just a step or two past the curds and whey stage of milk, which the Boss used to eat (the curds, not the whey) in his Grandmas kitchen on churning day, so after reading all that glorious literature on the sun-bu- m subject, he naively picked up a couple cartons at the grocery, one with blueberries and one with strawberries. lie could hardly wait to get the carton opened on the blueberry flavored item after getting it home. AS MENTIONED, the yogurt kick was a short one. After toe lid came off toe carton, and the Boss got a whiff of toe contents and saw it was toe color of his socks when one of toe boys threw his red sweatshirt and blue jeans in with the white things in the washer, a beautiful romance died. Boss did take a teeny taste, but his tongue was already prejudiced because of whisperings from his nose and eyes. The Boss has gone back to chocolates for between meal snacks and pure pleasure eating, but that carton of strawberry yogurt is still in the refrigerator. He may get to use it after all as a facial when his skin breaks out from all that candy. -- 0 -- was last to week, and our girl decided to and take her be a to lunch.
