Knudsen has lived in the Preston area for 09 years, raising a family, tending a grocery store, serving her neighbors and adding random bright spots to countless people with her sharp wit, accompanied by a twinkling of mischievious eyes. Mrs. Knudsen was bom in Richmond, Ut., and attended Preston Academy until the ninth grade, when 4he quit to stay home and care for her vounger brothers and sisters because of her mothers illness. She also assisted in the delivery of a neighbors baby when the doctor was delayed. Married to Chris Knudsen on March 4, 1903 in the Logan Temple, Mrs. Knudsen was mother of three small children when her husband served a mission away bom home. She managed the grocery store in Fairview and ook care of the family while he was away. The couple served two short term missions together, one to the southern states. After moving to Preston in 949, tins alert, outspoken woman has become an integral xart of the community. She served a home mission here. The Knudsens had four children, Vera, Delbert, Elveret-t- a and Virgil, and a foster son, Joseph Henry Powell.
