High Game: Doris Amell, 187. 75th Anniversary Feted In Winder WINDER -- Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nielsen hosted a buffet birthday supper in honor of her mother, Mrs. Edward Talbot. It was her 75th anniversary and she had all her married children present except a daughter and husband who live in Anaheim, Calif. Children present were Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Baxter of n Preston, Mrs. Dorothy of (Logan, Mir. and Mrs. Joseph Winger and Mr. and Mrs. Nielsen, and most of her married grandchildren were also present. Also Mrs. Talbots two sisters, Mrs. Marve1 Christensen of Ogden and Mrs. Merelda Winger of Preston. Prior to the party, her only surviving brother and Ms wife, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Taylor of Murray, came and surprised her. While they were at the Nielsen home a phone call came from a granddaughter telling them of the arrival of a new great granddaughter for Mr. and Mrs. Talbot. Her sister, Mrs. Jerry Ransbattom and sons, Chad and Bryce of Pocatello, also spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hodges. Mrs. Marion Bennett, Mrs. Cluff Gibson and Mrs. Albert Sharp went to Logan Monday of this week to attend the funeral services for Mrs. Ina Ballif. Others who also went were Bishop and Mrs. Floyd Bennett, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Mr. and Mrs. Carol Stocks and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nielsen. Todd Calc celebrated his .jvonth birthday anniversary on Jan. 18 with a party given in his honor by his mother, Mrs. Dennis Cole, at his home. They played games, had refreshment, and Todd received gifts and hod a birthday cake. That evening, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. II. L. Gittins and children, Jeffery and Don, of Southfield and an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Phillto Spackman and children Ileidi and Shane, of Richmond came for dinner in Todds honor. He-dfin- - BUDGET TERMS Call Right Now Dog slsds will be running this weekend one mile north of Weston Reservoir in Weston Canyon when the Kanganark Mushers club sponsors their fourth annual race evert. Wayne Andersen, cub treasurer, of Preston and ether members with teams have been running the trails preparing them for competition that will range in class up to 12 miles long. Dog teams making up these racs include the Siberian and Aasfcan Huskies, Malamute and Saimoyed sed breeds, as wIl as She mare unorthodox bird dogs, German shepherds, etc. Bofti junior and senior classes will be run. Participants are expected fnm about six northwestern sates, although competition is not limited to these.
