Verl Nelson Gets Hawaiaan Trip MINK CREEK - Relatives word last week that Nelson had arrived in Hawaii from Vietnam for a week of rest and recreation, His wife Ann and daughter Estelle of Los Angeles flew there to spend the week with him. Verl left Mink Creek in 1941 when he enlisted in the Marine Corps. He made it his career and retired after 20 vears of service. Last fall and in two he months was sent to Vietnam where he has been in heavy fiehtine most of his stay there. His son, Verl Jr., was stationed 200 miles from him in Vietnam. ed TIIURS., FRI.. SAT. They came to wish Sid Jensen a happy birthday. He has been ill for the past two weeks and has to go to Logan for medical treatment every other day. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Baird went to Provo Sunday to visit her brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bennett. They attended sacrament meeting where the Bennetts had their baby blessed. LaMond Baird, son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Baird of Idaho Falls and former Mink Creek residents, has accepted a position with the Soil Conservation in Preston and will move there the last of May. He is married and has nine children.
