Show April THE CITIZEN 25, 1968 Grace Locals Richmond Wards Hold Program RICHMOND Sunday members of both Richmond wards met for a special Easter program. Music was ftirnishcd by the Ladies Chords; also a duet by Jennie Thompson and La Vine accompanied by Laura d Lu Campbell; a solo by Thomson, accompanied Merrilee Morin, and sever by eve-min- g, Gal-Brait- h. Le-(an- al songs by the Junior Sunday School,, directed by Mrs. Elda Miller and accompanied by Alanilee Bair. Speakers were Dean Andrus and Mrs. Mae Hill. Shirley Miller told a story. Representing the stake high council were Pres. Wayne Traveller, Mrs. Henry Martinsen and her daughter, Diana Bozx, went to American Falls where they visited with friends on Thursday. Dick Burnham returned this past week from Vietnam where he has been in the armed forces. He is home on a furlough and will go to Virginia where he will receive his discharge later. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Burn-haof Soda Springs, formerly of Bench. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Lloyd went to Logan Wednesday where they attended the funeral of Mrs. Loretta Smith, an aunt of Mrs. Lloyd's. Mr. and Mrs. Delos Hubbard spent Wednesday in where they visited with her brother Evan in the hospital. Mrs. Dale Sullivan returned home Wednesday night from Salt Lake City where she has been staying with her sister and taking medical treatments. Mrs. Bergetta Christensen returned Wednesday evening from Salt Lake City where she has been visiting with her daughter Shirley and family. Mrs. Luella Hymas received word that Dr. and Mrs. Scott Hymas have a new baby boy born in March. He was five and half months old when they adopted him. He is named Robert Kip. Scott is well known here, having lived and worked in Grace. They are now living in San Jose, Calif., where he is a professor in one of the colleges there. His wife is from Cleveland, Ohio. The relatives of Rulon Bow-e- n received word that the surgery that he was to undergo Friday was postponed due to the lack of extra blood at this time in the hospital Mr. and Mrs. Herbert An derson, Richmond, are happy with the arrival of their sixth grandson born recently in Og- den to John and Jeanine May- berry. He is also welcomed by a brother, Craig, and other grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Mayberry of Ogden and great grandfather, John William Harris Councilmen Heslop, of West Weber. and R. J. They'll bom be useful. Mrs. Keith Pond and Mrs. Alvin Whitehead spent Thursday in Logan and Hyrum. Bishop and Mrs. Howard Johnson spent Thursday in Logan on business. The citv employes have been removing a number of large trees in front of the Gettys Sorenson and Wayne Anderson homes so that they might widen the street. A new curb and gutter will be placed from the Floyd Fowler home to the Lucy Holsten place on First South. The work is being done by Harold Spencer and Terrell Beck-stead. Many of the large trees had to be sawed up to remove them. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn McLing of Preston, Luan and Leslie Taylor of Provo spent Saturday and Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Taylor. The home of Mrs. Mildred Burton was the scene of a family gathering over the weekend. Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Metcalf and two sons of Salt Lake City and Fred Burton of Logan arrived. On Saturday came Mr. and Mrs. Don Allsop and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Fullmer and son. The group was joined Sunday by Mrs. Margene Coombs and three children of Idaho Falls. All stayed until late Sunday afternoon. Alfred Hansen returned Sunday from the Logan LDS hospital. He had surgery the forepart of the week there. Mr. and Mrs. Don Strong of Preston have been visiting with her parents, Mr. ana Mrs. Theo Harris, and also with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Vishweg who came back from Seattle. Mr. strong is assisting Mr. Harris in the shop of Harris and Walters. PUBLIC NOTICES Mrs. Ed Halstead returned from Japan Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Egbert and Arnold Egbert went to Idaho Falls Thursday to attend the funeral of their nephew who died Friday in Al buquerque, N. M. He was Lee Priest, son of Marion and Essie Priest. He was buried in Idaho Falls following the funeral Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Robinson of Salt Lake City spent the weekend with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Egbert. Von Adams of Shelley got his father, Evan Adams, out of the Bannock Memorial hospital Friday and then Mrs. Adams went to Shelley Saturday to bring him home. Mr. and Mrs. Bart Simmons and Mrs. Marilyn Clegg and their children spent Saturday and night with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Simmons.
