Show Jan. SCIENCE FAIR The Junior high science fair was held at the West Side High School this week with about 70 exhibits being shown by junior high students. The retiring officers were NATOLIE MENDENIIALL ALMA BOWDEN PARLEY OLSEN GEORGE MILLS School District Retires Five e Five employes of the West Side school district recently retired, according to West Side school board, Charles Bailey retired as a bus driver in the district at-- , tcr 21 years and with an en-- 1 viable record of safety. He started in 1948 when the high school at Weston burned. He and his wife live in Clifton where they operate a farm. They have had six children graduate from West Side high. Blair Beckstead has taken over his bus. Mrs. Natolie Mendenhall will retire in February after 24 years in the school lunch program. All of her children have attended West Side schools. She and Mrs. Dora Call were responsible for many of the improvements in the lunch program in Clifton. A person will be named by the board to take her place. Alma Bowden retired in long-tim- . . January. He had been head custodian of the West Side e high school. He was first ployed by the district in 1944 and drove school bus for about six years. He was named custodian in 1949 after the completion of the new build- ing. He and his wife, Myrtle, recently celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Tingey have been named custodians of the grade building. George Mills retired in January after serving seven years as custodian of the Clifton school.
