He was one of a family of seventeen children. His own father was killed in a snow slide when he was Just three months old. He was eighty three years old at the time of his death on November 29, 1984. He was an active LDS church worker all his life, serving as a want teacher his entire married life until he was released In 1962 on account of 111 health. He filled three missions for the church; twenty seven months in Texas while his wife cared or a family of three.
