Show TO THE VOTERS OF SANPETE from ij C X n Dm Democratic ic Candidate forSTATE for forSTATE STATE SENATOR SENATOR This is the second in a series series se se- ries of articles outlining the candidates candidate's views on matters pertaining to Sanpete te SNOW COLLEGE In ln my opinion Snow College College Col Col- lege is the greatest single institution institution institution in- in in Sanpete today And its prospects for growth are probably gre greater ter than for any other institution It is gratifying to see the constantly increasing enrollment enrollment enroll enroll- ment from Sanpete and other areas This years year's fall quarter registration is considerably ahead of last years But many students in the county are not availing themselves of the educational cultural recreational recreational social and other facilities facilities ties Snow has to offer It is my firm belief that the civic business professional I church and educational leaders leaders leaders lead lead- ers of the county could do dono no greater favor to Sanpete's young people than to encourage encourage age them to attend Snow Col Col- l lege ge At the same time they would be benefiting all of Sanpete San San- pete by keeping at home funds that now go to other counties for the first two years of college ollege work I I 1 can honestly say that I Iam Iam Iam am and have been a staunch supporter of Snow College This is evidenced by the fact that my wife and I and allour allour all allour our children have attended the school I was the first editor edi edi- editor tor of its paper The Snowdrift Snowdrift Snow Snow- dr drift t and served las tas as student body president We have contributed contributed con con- to the scholarship fund advertised in annuals supported cultural and athletic athletic ath ath- letic programs contributed lo to its housing funds and never have I permitted my name to tobe tobe tobe be used in connection with a move to to establish a rival school a school which press reports stated at the time would probably kill Snow College Yes we of the Cox family firmly believe in Snow College and will go all out for its support Next weeks week's article will deal with agricultural matters ROSCOE C.
