Baker Elected President Of ABA Environment Conference Of The Utah Safety Council Current and proposed direct and indirect controls of land use lor environmental protection will be examined during the American Bar Associations National Conference on Environmental Law in Warrenton, Va., May Major speakers for the conference, sponsored by the ABAs Special Committee on Environmental Law, are to include Gov. Richard Lamm of Colorado, U.S. Rep. Mike McCormack and John A. Busterude of the Council on Environmental 2-- 4. (D-Was- h) Quality. Lamm is to address a luncheon May 3; McCormack will speak at a dinner May 3 and Busterude will talk at a dinner session May 2. Registration opens in Airlie House at 4 p.m., May 2. The busines sesions begin at 8:30 a.m.. May 3, with an overview by J. Thomas Greene of Salt Lake City chairman of the special committee. Moderators and panelists include William K. Reilly presi Linn C. Baker was elected President of the Utah Safety Council at the Annual Business and Luncheon Meeting held April 10, 1975, at the Hotel Utah. Mr. Baker, in addition to his duties as Council President, is the Vice President of Marketing for the First Security Company, General Offices, Salt Lake City. A native of Weber County, the new Council President over the years has served as a Weber County Justice of the Peace. Wefcer County Sanitarian, County Treasurer of Weber County, and was elected as Treasurer for the state of Utah.
