Sen. Wallace Bennett announced. The funds made available by the Departments Urban Mass Administration Transportation are for the purchase of 17 new buses and related equipment by the Utah Transit Authority and for development of a short range transit improvement program for the Wasatch Front Area. The Utah lawmaker pointed out, these new buses and support equipment will permit the Utah Transit Authority to continue its efforts in implementing its ten year transit improvement program initiated last year. Two thirds of the cost of the 17 new 45 passenger air conditioned transit coaches, a supervisory auto, general service truck and two way radios will come from the capital grants program of the Urban Mass Transit Act of 1970 with the Utah Transit Authority providing the other third, the senator said. A portion of the grant funds, $63,500, will go to the Wasatch Front Regional Council for the study and development of a transit improvement program in the five counties surrounding Salt Lake City. In keeping with the club policy, no terms of the contract were released. The smooth Price established a fine record at Colorado State, leading his team in scoring with a 19.4 average while shooting 44 per cent from the field and 77 from the line. Another amazing fact is that he was the third leading rebounder for the Rams, averaging 5.3 per game as guard. Price holds three individual records at CSU auditorium: Most points, 37. Most field goal attempts, 33; Most field goals made 18. He also ranks 5th in career scoring at CSU with 1,031. Price was one of the outstanding players at the Stars rookie camp held at Kearns High. According to Coach La Dell Andersen, Price is quick, has great hands, and can hit from anywhere on the floor. His statistics from the rookie camp confirm that. Grease and lightly flour. Preheat oven to 325 F. Separate eggs and heat yolks until slightly thickened. Melt butter in a heavy pan and stir in flour and salt. Add milk and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Simmer for 1 minute, stirring. Remove from heat. Add a little of the hot mixture to beaten egg yolks and then stir back into pan. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into sauce. Spread mixture in prepared pan and bake about 40 minutes until golden brown. Turn out on waxed paper. Let cool to room temperature. Gently spread with ham filling (below). Roll up lengthwise, like a jelly roll. Spread top of ham roll with cc.v:-- c.vr 1 and sprinkle with chopped, toasted almonds. HAM FILLING 4 cups ground cooked ham 2 t a b C b U w at M ki on 1 tablespoon grated onion (about lbs.) 1 cup sour cream 14 teaspoon dry mustard Combine ingredients and mix to blend well. 1 1-- 12 BANANA DAIQUIRI 112 ounce light rum 1 tablespoon lime juice 12 ripe medium-siz1 banana teaspoon sugar, or to taste e Crushed ice Whirl ingredients in blender until creamy. Pour into large, chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of banana. Makes 1 serving. |
