Show THE SALT LAKE TIMES University Schedules Course for Women in Business Farmers Union Names Speaker For Convention Utah business women will have an opportunity this spring to attend the first Womens Management Institute designed especially for them by the Division of Continuing Education, University of Utah. According to Mrs. Esther R. Landa, director womens programs, officers of several business womens organizations assisted the University in planning the Institute, which begins Monday night, February 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 110, Milton Ben-nio- n Hall on the U. campus. Sessions run from 7:30 to 9:45 p.m. and will continue for eight successive Mondays through Mr. Tony Dechant Mr. Tony Dechant, Secretary-Treasur- er of National Farmers Union, will speak to members of the Utah Farmers Union during their annual convention. The Utah Farmers Union is holding its 13th annual convention February 18th and 19th at the New-hous- e Hotel. Mr. Dechant has served as National Secretary-Treasursince 1946. In addition, er of National he is Farmers Union Life Insurance Co., Property and Casualty Co., Vice-Preside- nt and Development Corp. (potash). He is also Secretary for the Farmers Educational Foundation. Mr. Dechant has long been active in the Rocky Mountain area, as well as nationally in social, economic and agricultural activities. He was born on a farm in Kansas and currently lives in Denver, headquarters for the National Farmers Union. Mr. Dechants wide, varied background and his dedication to Farmers Union activities lends great value to his address to the Utah Farmers. His talk will touch on the Johnson Administration, the new budget, its effects and some recommendations to Congress adopted by National Farmers Union, its directors and affiliates.
